I feel like there's tons of masculinity in game but to your point--it does feel like the past two kits anyway have been empowering feminine males which are few in my game. (Not saying that's a bad thing though...I bought the menswear kit and really like having it.) I have some feminine men but it's the norm in my game for males to be masculine. A LOT of women (or men) who play the game are attracted to masculine males. How do I know? Because I get hundreds, if not thousands of downloads of my most masculine males. :sunglasses:
My masculine males usually love WOMEN! (Although I have loads of masculine males who love each other, too, just read my stories. ;) )They usually like to workout, do extreme sports, eat meat and potatoes, and don't care if they look scraggly, with unmatching clothing from time to time. They also don't care if their hair is a mess or if they have a five o clock shadow which unfortunately in this game, their beard never grows. Ugh. They like their woodworking set or farming, cleaning the barns and most of my men are repairing fanatics.
I will admit, though, there aren't professions that I think are male/masculine only. All my sims have done all jobs and I like it that way because I believe all people can do a great job in whatever profession they choose--masculinity and femininity doesn't matter. In fact, I love someone like Elle Woods who could break the male dominated barrier at Harvard law and be a PINK girly girl while doing it. So...I guess that's the opposite of what we're talking about here, but I digress.
I'm glad you broached this topic because I'd BUY RIGHT NOW and VERY masculine kit, stuff pack...but I really feel EA will never give it to us for the sad reasons you state--people would complain.
