Agnes is overlooking the sea behind her. She studies the ravens flying in the sky. There is a presence and she stops.
Agnes: You can come out now. I know you’re there.
Cornelia steps out from the shadows and makes her way over to Agnes.
Cornelia: You always did know when I was watching.
Agnes: Or maybe you just weren’t that good at hiding from me.
Cornelia: We need to talk.
Agnes: About?
Cornelia: The curse. I can’t let you go through with it.
Agnes: “You can’t let me go through with it.” Is that really the best you can do? I know you’re desperate but please don’t insult me with this.
Cornelia: Please. You don’t understand what you’re dealing with. This curse is incredibly dark. That kind of power is dangerous.
Agnes: I’m confused. Are you trying to keep me away from it or are you encouraging me to use it?
Cornelia’s face says it all. She’s angry.
Cornelia: Agnes, please, you don’t need to do this.
Agnes: See, that’s where you’re wrong, baby sister. I need this. (chuckles) You have your perfect little life. You have a man that loves you, a child that needs you and a kingdom full of people who worship you. And what do I have? Hm? Nothing.
Agnes walks over towards her fireplace. She stares deeply into the flames, her face almost unreadable.
Cornelia: You have me. You’ve always had me.
Agnes looks back at her.
Agnes: Have I?
