I think it's cool that there are things in the game that some kinds of sims can see and others can't.
Like the way kids can see monsters under the bed, or the crayon-type animations from playing with toys, but adults can't.
Or how werewolves can smell things about other sims (well we can see those things via the color effects).
I like your idea of expanding on that more :)
(In fact, the werewolves pack has a world that's a lot like what you are wishing for? Have you played with that pack?)
