Well let's just hope that since they've seen this they will add more male gay premade couples and eventually also bring us more iconic male characters as well as females.
I would argue that there have actually been a lot of well-developed male characters in the Sims series and a good example of this is the Sims 2. Think of the Curious brothers, think the Grunts, think Don Lothario, Mortimer Goth, Dustin broke, Nervous subject, the Dreamer father and son etc.
Hopefully they can raise the bar for male sims especially in the clothing department but also story-wise like in the past. And who knows maybe we'll even get more gay male couples in the future.
