Life & Death: How do wills and graves work outside active household?

Hey all! Just wanted to get some info and feedback, hopefully from those who already played many hours of the pack (Sims team very welcome to chime in). 

I am playing my legacy save, and I already finished my challenge, so I am just continuing. That being said, I moved and split my household, so my previous heir lives in another world, and my active household lives in Ravenwood. I made a will with my previous heir, and now she died, but I think something glitched. It asked me twice what I want to do with the items, first time it did, it told me I can delete, keep with the ghost or move to the household I played with. I chose that. But then after a minute, I got the same pop-up for the same Sim, and it only offered me to delete or keep with the ghost.

Now I don't have the items I set for the will, and I also cannot for the life of me find their graves. They are not in any inventory. Any ideas? 😅
