That I agree with.
With Dream Home Decorator, they'll just be getting free renovation. Plus if you see the name of a played sim and accept the job, you can send your sim there alone so that they do the work and their house remains unchanged (I hope I remember that correctly).
I do hope that they include a sim filter with that with terms that not only exclude played sims, but also sims in My Households section. High School Years graduation for example only included a term that excluded played sims, so that played teens won't be aged up, but unplayed teens could be aged up, even if they were in My Households section.
Discover University has an... interestingly complex system there, only having unplayed Other Households sims to re-enroll on their own...

Oh, I just remembered one of my concerns!
I hope that the new traits will be included in Sim Characteristics, Turn-ons and Turn-offs, and have self-discovery moments.
For example, Horse Ranch traits still don't affect Social Compatibility and have any Self-Discovery moments.
My suggestions?
- Social Compatibility & TOTO (TOTOs exclude minuses):
- Macabe:
- + Pessimistic
- - Optimistic
- - Funny
- Chased by Death:
- + Spirited
- Skeptic:
- + Cerebral
- - Idealist
- Macabe:
- Self-Discovery Moment categories:
- Macabe - Mood (shared with Cheerful, Gloomy, and Hot-Headed)
- Chased by Death - Scared (shared with Erratic and Paranoid)
- Skeptic - Smart (shared with Genius and Bookworm)
Oh, additional concern!
The new careers should also have associated university degrees that give head start in the career. For now, Romance Consultant in Lovestruck don't have these.
My suggestions?
- Undertaker career Mortician branch - Biology degree
- Undertaker career Funeral Director branch - Communications degree
- Reaper career - That I truly don't know here... History? Biology? Villainy?
- Social Compatibility & TOTO (TOTOs exclude minuses):

The game looks fun. But my game is kinda broken right now, so I'm worried about it completely destroying my game. So...idk. Probably not a good idea.
But I love the BB and the CAS and the world. I love the lore and the different goals and such. I think it's a cool and fresh idea. I just don't know if the engine can handle it.

Fully agree about characteristics, turn ons and turn offs.
However, I don't really feel like every career needs an associated university degree. It just seems like too much of a stretch.

It's too soon to be sure, but that's not how I interpreted the description of the wills at all. My understanding was that we would be able to will simoleans, heirlooms, guardianship, etc. even if the whole household is dead, not only if the whole household is dead.

Hmm... Yes, on university degree side, yeah.
If the undertaker career gets the degree bonuses and Reaper career doesn't, I'm fine with it as it shows that they at least didn't forget the degree system unlike with Lovestruck's Romance Consultant career.

My reactions from the gameplay trailer:
- The Netherworld Department of Death still looks a lot like the magic realm to me.
- Chased by death trait is not a bad idea and it's a good way of making a sim that you want to turn into a ghost faster.
- I still feel that the "bucket list" are aspirations but you can decide the goals yourself, so that doesn't that sound much different.
- Adding wills to funerals which changes how people react to them is a nice idea, but you don't get to hand over your money or belongings apart from heirlooms?
- Playing as a ghost is not something that is appealing to me but it looks like a nice way to extend your playtime with your sim and also give you the option to keep playing them as a reincarnated sim.
I think the pack looks good but I also think this pack has a high chance to have some bugs because some of these features are probably difficult to test quickly.

Maybe, like the devs did with mixology, instead of one of the standard Discover University degrees, there could be a certificate based on thanatology that you earn to advance in the Reaper Career.

All in all the gameplay trailer looks amazing (more positive than negative about the pack) but I have a few concens
- the solicitor sits outside to make wills? Shouldn't that be in an office? What if you have seasons and it rains? It feels a bit unrealistic
- The bucketlist is only on paper? I would love to get a book like that to practice writing but for a bucket list I would expect it to be on the computer because most people who do bucket lists like to tell everyone about it through social media
- The ghost skill tree looks usefull (not exactly a new concept) but are we able to combine this with other occults?
- The grim reaper voice reading the early buyers reward promo talk was an anticlimax. That should not have been read out loud or in a different voice. It kinda ruins the character this way
- recycled content:
- coffin woohoo (makes sense, but not really new)
- new wishing well: will this be a copy of the wishing well we already have?

I think the solicitor in the park is there during a festival. Don't think it's a permanent fixture.
