So should they have included the jealousy, attraction, turn on and turn offs, and other similar features from Downtown in the base game in 2? Or what about the reputation system that was added in I think Generations from 3, should that have been base game? Because from what I'm reading those features aren't all different from what they're including with this pack.
First of all, I'm pretty sure jealousy was in the base game of the Sims 2 and the Sims 3.
As far as attraction and turn ons & turn offs, they were in a pack about dating and nightlife in the Sims 2. So it actually made sense for them to be in that pack.
Also, attraction and turn ons & turn offs have never been a part of any base games.
The Sims 4 was missing a significant amount of content when it was released, and that included fully developed personalities. Both the Sims 2 and 3 had better and more substantial personality systems in the base game. Also, the Sims 4 bragged about having "smart" sims, when in reality they all acted the same.
The fact that they're trying to release a personality update in a $40 pack is problematic. Sims 2 and 3 both had more developed and advanced personality systems, while the Sims 4 was left incomplete and shallow. Why should anyone have to spend $40 for something that should have been in the base game, and was in the base game in previous titles??
And why are they in a pack about snow? How does that even make sense?
