Lifestyles: how's your experience?

My one Sim was constantly plus (3 or 5 I can't remember but high enough to be the lead emotion) tense because of a lifestyle slipping away. He was miserable for days before I started using ui cheats to delete the mood. That is insanely annoying. If it's slipping away it needs to happen faster, he was tense for a week at least. I might end up turning them off, I don't really care about them. Most just help with jobs and nothing else. Also most of my Sims end up with the indoorsy trait since there's really nothing to get my Sims out of the house for. ??‍♀️
