I just saw a video by a French gamechanger (link below) who tested the effects of the new Sentiments on cheating. Two of her two female Sims were married, but one of them was having an affair with Don Lothario. The played Sim walked in on her wife and Don woohoo-ing, and she started crying. There was a Sentiments notification that said she and Don gained a 'festering grudge' sentiment, but she didn't gain an angry sentiment towards her wife. However, afterwards she and Don both got uncomfortable moodlets when they were near each other. So the Sentiments did give some depth, but her main Sim was still able to do romantic interactions with her wife shortly after she was cheated on. Maybe there was a reason for that though, I'm excited to find out how it all works after the patch.
