- I put a national park there to give my Sims more vacation options. It seemed fitting given the picturesque and remote nature of the lot.

You have your sims vacation at a park? Can they do this without Granite Falls and Salvadorado? - Not just a park...a national park. Sorry I typed 'natural' not 'national' above...fingers have minds of their own. That's the vacation destination style lots. And as far as I know you can use them without having granite falls and salvadorado, GF shipped with one as well so it is a base game lot type i think.
LOL, but as for your question, I have had sims vacation in just regular parks too. A tent is always one of the first things I get a sim family. - SimTresa7 years agoSeasoned AceI moved the museum into the basement and built a bar, grill and restaurant on top of it in one save. In another, it got replaced with a beach house.

a residential beach house? I don't think my sims will love the frequent guests on their property as I'm assuming townies will still visit the island? Let me know!"Stormkeep;c-16850981" wrote:

Good to know! This opens me up to more ideas on how to play the game! - AaronRulz787 years agoSeasoned Ace

don't forget the ghost pets that show up there at night. might affect the idea of making the lot residential more than the townies that do show up and wander the island (none will go onto the lot when it's residential, though. but you'll always have to deal with the bathroom area just off the lot). or could just affect the type of sim you'd want to move in (someone like the goths would likely love the ghost pets, as an example)
the lot would likely be a great place for a seafood restaurant (i still like the idea of making a pirate-themed one with get famous sets and such). my only seafood restaurant is in windenburg because it wouldn't fit properly in brindleton bay (i seriously wanted it on the pier, but that 20x20 just wasn't cutting it)
OMG, can we have the servers and hosts be in GF clothes???? If this can happen I am seriously going to do some restaurant renovations with the clothing attire! haha - catmando8307 years agoSeasoned AceI've put large glass houses there for 360 views of the water.

I've used the pirate costume for a themed restaurant and now we have more pirate costumes to pick from.
Get out! I am so doing a seafood restaurant with Pirate themed and clothing too. I should do a "period piece" restaurant too. Fun! - SweetieWright_847 years agoSeasoned AceSeeing all of these ideas makes mine seem kind of boring, but I built a country wedding venue. The ceremony area is a barn and the reception area is outside with a tent-style canopy. :)
- @SweetieWright_84, a well made wedding view at such a picturesque location is hardly boring! It's actually a very romantic spot for one, and I hadn't even thought of it. Made me consider adding at least an area set up for weddings to the park I have there.
