I think I have run into a bug with the Lin-Z speaker and tiny homes. My sims can interact with it fine, trivia etc, but the music function doesn't work. The action is always cancelled from their queue...

Did you try just deleting it and replacing it? I know that sounds too simple but sometimes that’s all it takes. I had to do something similar yesterday in my game. My sim kept canceling so I deleted the object and replaced it and it worked fine again. Could just be a minor glitch.
