- crocobauraSeasoned AceWell, you wouldn't sit to watch a movie in the rain anyway. Would be lovely if they gave us a proper projector to screen movies on any wall.
- simsimsereNew AdventurerI really think they should add an upgrade option that makes electronics water proof. Would make my day.

The Backyard TV Projector isn't water proof?! Terrible idea.
Hopefully that's an oversight and they'll fix it. That's kind of dumb given that it's supposed to be outside.- crocobauraSeasoned Ace

Lol True. My issue is constantly repairing it.
I think they only break when they are turned on during rain. I noticed that the DJ station at the bluffs only gets turned on after the rain stops and it's not affected by the rain otherwise. I am old school and don't usually put any electronics outside as they are not supposed to sit in either rain, sun or freezing conditions. That bedsheet screen is not supposed to be an electronic device, but whatever. Maybe they could make a portable TV that you could put in inventory once you're done with it. Or a small portable projector. And speaking of projectors, I remember when I was small we used to have a Diafilm filmstrip projector with cartoon stories that my dad used to screen on the wall. It was fun then, it will be more fun with modern projectors even for our sims. Now I am curious to see how a sim repairs a bedsheet TV. "crocobaura;c-18117294" wrote:

Sadly in my experience it breaks regardless of whether or not it's on, every time it rains. I really hope this is an oversight because all of the marketing around this kit and even the new styled room has the projectors outside, but then I realized even the projectors from Movie Hangout Stuff break outside in the rain so who knows if this is intentional or not. I wish I had considered this before I bought the kit.- SheriSimSeasoned Hotshot

It is the same with movie stuff, they are not water proof either, and I’m sure they took it from that pack. - SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranI so agree that the outdoor projector be waterproof. Also, it should be lightning proof & can work off-the-grid.
- QueenSaraphineSeasoned HotshotWell. I hate to be that person but don’t most of you want everything to be very realistic?
Electronics outdoors is not something you have outside 24/7 but only take out for the occasion and then back inside when you go back inside.
Sure an option to upgrade it to be waterproof would be awesome, totally agree there.
But I think the sims team have more important things to do than re-code all electrical devices in the game. "QueenSaraphine;c-18117585" wrote:

It would be realistic to be able to put them under pergolas and similar objects to have them be protected from the rain.- BabykittyjadeRising ObserverEveryone wants realism until it affects their gameplay lol. No one would watch a TV projector in the rain and I imagine that would be infact dangerous.
However, since I don't care about realism in games I do wish they added an upgrade option for electronics to work in the rain because I've had to repair so many things over over wondering why like a dumbo, until I finally figured out that electronics cannot be in the rain ????
