Little tip to succeed in the Actor career:

If your sim is an aspiring actor, and has at least a level 5 or higher in the Acting skill, have them perform Risky actions while on-the-job with them. It'll help them gain fame and a career promotion! Already, Mason Steele(my actor/Rags to Riches founder) is a level 5 or 6 in the Actor career and has won one Starlight Accolade Award for his outstanding acting skills.

    If your sim is not confident coming into the job, have them brush their teeth before doing all their scenes. That’s what I do usually, lol. My sim never failed a risky audition and I make sure they are at a level above where they are supposed to be.
