By expanding up, down and with ladders. it’s doable but gets more harder the smaller one builds.
OP, the stuff pack tiny living is somewhat of you’re what looking for. It lets you build 3 different tiers of small homes. You’re allowed to use a certain number of tiles to meet the requirement of a tiny home. The highest tier you’re allowed to use is 100tiles, and the lowest 32tiles. Definitely not 3x3 but meeting such requirements grants your lot traits.

I am surprised how little that I use from Tiny Living. I keep looking at what is has to offer for build items, but don't use them. The murphy bed is not practical or safe. The TV combo is useless to me offgrid.
A second floor counts as grids, and is hard to see well, so I don't build up. Even with the wraparound porches, I come in well below 32 tiles. I love the perks for coming in below 32 tiles! Were those perks added in the Tinyliving pack or Ecoliving?
