Lmao why do NPCs always foist their funeral ceremony on our Sims?

I feel like every time my Sims go to the restaurant or the spa, an oldster instantaneously perishes and demands an audience for their NPC death. Like why is every staff member at this business 106 yea...

You're not playing at Jim Pickens' restaurant, are you? The only thing on the menu is known to kill people.

More seriously, I see this happen on ocassion -- but I sometimes have nonplayed sim aged on, my teens have people to date.
