Lmao why do NPCs always foist their funeral ceremony on our Sims?

I feel like every time my Sims go to the restaurant or the spa, an oldster instantaneously perishes and demands an audience for their NPC death. Like why is every staff member at this business 106 yea...

I completely forgot about this issue until I sent a Sim to the spa yesterday and the place was littered in urns, to a horrifying and disturbing level ???
