Long Life

So, a friend and I were debating. I'm thinking of starting a rotational game on the long life setting, which I've never used. She says this is "cheating" because Sims will be able to earn more skills, money, etc in a lifetime and will make the game dull and easy. So my question is: Do you consider playing on long life cheating or not?
  • if you went to give your sims a very long life my advice would be to play with turning off aging for all sims
  • If that is considered cheating then what do they think of Vampires who are immortal and can do things much faster then a normal sim which includes gaining skills with the right perks.

Now that the game has so much more content than it did at launch, I consider Long lifespan to be "Normal." Your sim doesn't have time to enjoy life or experience much if you use Normal or Short. Normal might be desirable if you don't rotate because it'll help reduce boredom. But now that our sims can attend college, it's necessary to switch to Long or pause aging just to earn a degree or two.
