Long Lifespan Players - Do you ever change your sim's pregnancy length?

Just curious as I started playing in the long lifespan and noticed the pregnancy always remains three days. Just curious if other players made the pregnancy shorter/longer?
  • I'm not a long-lifespan player, but I do play with ageing off.

Seasons are set to the maximum in my game (28 per) and I made it so that pregnancies last for 84 days. So if I imagine that each season is 3 months, this, for me makes it as realistic to "9 months" as possible for my Sims being pregnant.
  • I'll be honest. I didn't even know you could. Is this something you can change with the vanilla game? I might be interested in upping it a bit.
  • 14-21 days. I play with aging off. I'm also a notorious rotational payer with dozens of families, so I don't hang out with that sim for the entire pregnancy. Longer pregnancies help keep my household population down too loll! Otherwise each couple ncould have 10 kids?
  • When I first lengthened my Sims pregnancy I made it 60 days because my seasons were set at 28 days and I was trying to make it as real as possible. Then I thought "Ive been through this myself x2 irl, why make my sims suffer? Esp towards the end when I felt like a whale!". So, I shortened it to 20 days and that seems like a happy medium for me.

That said, I dont age anyone up until the same day of the next year. I start slowing down the aging and birthdays when they hit YA because it mimics real life in a way.
