These are the specs you want to look for for the best possible gaming experience.
i5 or i7 : 7th gen or higher quad core
Dedicated graphic card, GTX 1050 or better
16GB RAM
Now, hard drive is a bit in debate. Some people swear SSD makes no difference on Sims 4. I play exact same saves on both SSD and on HDD and there is a definite difference between the two. Both systems are more than recommended, both have exact same mods and CC, everything is the same, game wise and my HDD is much slower than my SSD.
So my personal recommendation is to get at least a 500 GB (or larger) SSD AND a 1TB (or larger) HDD.
If the SSD is smaller than 500 GB, you really don't want to game on it. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend anything less than 1TB SSD, but I know that can get super pricey, though SSD prices have come done a lot in the last few years. So, aim for at least 500GB SSD and a secondary 1TB (or more) HDD for storage and space.
