In sober and simpler words- I still feel as lost on this forum as I did when I arrived here on Day 1. I'm trying to get good at this, but it's like a friggin' chore innit?
Nearly a week after launch, it is still quite hard work to get around here. Itās slow and cumbersome. Sure, the bugs and glitches will get smoothed out with time, but fundamentally I donāt think itās well designed. Weāre all having to try to find ways to work around it, rather than being able to just get on with what we want to do: read and post comments.
I am still trying to figure out how other users are alerted when someone makes a reply to a thread. (ie directly to your thread or directly to a response you make). Do we receive alerts? So far, I have been receiving a catch-all notification about many people responding in the thread in general. Do we need to use the "at" sign?
So far, I have had to manually check posts I made so see if there are responses. Any ideas?
There's three different symbols that can appear in the blue dot in notices from what I can see. A thumbs up if someone likes your post. A bell, but that appears every time someone posts in that thread. Whether or not it was to you specifically. There's also the @ symbol if someone mentions you.
