I know I can change it but it has been reverting back to the other way.
Actually your introduction is still there, but as the forum defaults to showing most popular posts first, new post might not be visible. You can change it to display from new to old, or old to new. It's the little drop down under the first post, right under the reply button (on pc that is, might be different on mobile).
We’re going to have to get used to this forum very quickly as our old home is going read-only from July 18th 🙁
It's a bit easier to navigate on desktop, but I hate that replies aren't fully chronological. That is, replies to replies will still stick to the timestamp of the original reply. But we'll learn to deal with it I suppose.
Yeah, it does do that. It's annoying. Try just tapping on the minutes ago phrase instead of the name of the thread. For me it always takes me to the newest posts.
Admittedly I still see that there are unread posts though. Probably because when someone replied to an older post, it's listed under that and you won't see it unless you scroll all the way back. Even then I miss some.
