We all have our disappointments and we all have our different opinions. But somehow part of us continues to insist the other part has to shut up with their opinions. They even claim that part is spoiling all the fun, just by expressing them. I have no idea how that works but apparently it does. This indeed is ‘just’ a video game (a unique one and the very reason these forums exist in the first place, it’s kind of the theme here to discuss that video game) and it’s just other peoples’ opinions. Don’t feel attacked by them, don’t let those opinions make you ‘tired’, they are not about you. They are about the game. If you can’t stand the other opinions, stop opening topics that are posted by the not so happy crowd who wants this mediocre, expensive, buggy version that’s dragging on way too long for its own good (my opinion) to be over with already. The titles of those topics are clear enough most if the time.
This section is called Feedback. I have a feeling there is some confusion about what it was added for under that name. They don’t mean giving your fellow simmers and their opinions or supposed motives feedback. It’s about giving the game feedback. And when someone like the OP gives the game feedback, they don’t mean you have to agree or else. Everybody is allowed to join and to disagree. But please with arguments that adress the game, not simmers. I for one don’t need to hear I lack imagination or that I have to own all the packs or play the game daily (the fact that I don’t is actually a result of the problem) to participate.
I can totally live with the fact Sims 4 hasn’t panned out the way I want, apparently it was like that with Sims 3 for others. If there was one thing I have always perfectly understood, it’s that those people were really glad when it ended in 2013 and that a successor was announced. Please stop begrudging me the very same thing.

I can honestly say I'm not really looking forward to the end of TS4 and I pray they don't make a TS5. The only posts I ever see in the Sims community these days are along the lines of "I want...." "I want..." "What EA should have done..."
There could be thousands of reasons why this that and the other didn't make it to the final product. Given that the game was developed from the base of an abandoned project, I should think time was a big factor. I can almost envision the angry simmers "Where's TS4? You promised us TS4 last year. WHY ISN'T IT HERE?" etc. Then the complaints would roll in about it not being enough, even if swimming, toddlers and ghosts had made it from the beginning. This happens in other gaming communities but I have noticed that the last couple of years have got worse with simmers screaming about what they want.
I wonder how many simmers say 'Thanks' when a Guru answers a question on Twitter? Not many, I'll bet. Given the lack of "thank you"s when somebody shares some CC, I can see that manners aren't a priority any more. Shouting like spoilt toddlers about what they want is in, apparently.
Sorry but if TS4 hasn't panned out the way you want, why do so many keep buying it? I realise this is an unpopular opinion but I'm entitled to my opinion on this one too. At the end of the day, loads of you hate TS4 with an apparent passion since you can't seem to find any redeeming qualities. So how come so many of you who seem to despise it keep buying the packs? Nobody's forcing you to do it and if you're really that passionate about it, doesn't that send a more direct message to EA as a company if you withhold the money, rather than slagging them off on the forums for a game you didn't like in the first place?
I get that people were disappointed when the base game came out. If the quality of packs hasn't, in your opinions, improved, why still buy and then complain about it? How about you just don't buy it and go back to Sims 3.
On a side note, it's funny how many people now consider Sims 3 an amazing, full and complete game. Not that many years ago, the "I want..." threads were aimed at that. Funny that.
I couldn't agree more with this. Now we all have disappointments and wants including me but I'm so tired of these TS4 bashing hate threads yet they will not stop playing it. When I came to this forum i didn't know it was like this.
We all have different opinions but at the end of the day it's just "A VIDEO GAME" and I enjoy it for what it is. What other game out there is like the sims? Nothing. I've played many games but the sims is the only one I can get addicted to and play for hours at a time even with all of its flaws. All of the sims were good and I'm loving TS4 for what it is because we could have nothing at all.I really hope they keep it going for a loooooong time.
Thanks EA :)
