I believe, it is one of the new features in the next patch.
But if you change your screen resolution (try it) then the icons are spaced differently so it has more to do with the resolution that person's pc has rather than spacing them out and what type of display they have. Mine look totally different (spacing and placement) because pc is connected to a 32" TV screen. If I change the native for my game, then yeah, I can have many different type of spacings.
