But when I looked under Pack settings I could not find anything for Horse Ranch pack or Cottage living pack. Am I looking in he wrong place?
I think the setting for animals is on the same tab as the setting for sims just lower down the screen, on my laptop I need to scroll down to see it.

Anyweay, the "animal aging on" was not checked, but animals are aging anyway. Thanks! So, it's a bug as jpkarlsen said. Hopefully it will be fixed soon enough. I's a tough price to pay for a crow, if that is what caused it.
