It says "Week 1", but the event launched on a Tuesday, didn't it? So, does this mean the weeks shift on Tuesdays? Or does the week count start when I activate the event in my game?
Yes, the new week in the event will be a week later on the Tuesdays.

It was early in the morning in my time zone when I completed the next steps for week 1, so I didn't even consider having Laura and Yusei tag along with Kakashi on his trip to the Willow Creek Library. Especially since hacking a computer is more of Yusei's specialty than Kakashi's. 😅 Anyways, I'll have to wait and see if there's going to be any week 2 tasks that Laura and Yusei could help Kakashi on.

Thanks
Thank you rose that worked! I had tried searching using event filter but somehow didn't see it. Must be old age. LOL
I sent my sims to bed, intent on starting the event first thing in the morning. Guess who rang at my doorbell 2:37...
"Lady, do you have any idea what time it is?" Gavin sputtered.
On the other hand, the stranger didn't look like well versed in life in the big city. Abrasive and competitve as he could be at times, Gavin wasn't the type of person to let someone walk into something nasty."Come in already."
The first thing the stranger did in the Reed apartment was to scold Argus.
When I bring a mouse, it's "Ew" and "Eeek", but YOU can bring THIS? How's that fair, mama?
"Who do you think you are to pay back my hospitality like this?!"
"Who I think I am... Interesting phrasing! Long story short, I'm the Royal Envoy you'll have heard about on TV. And YOU are former, but no longer bound to any oath, detective Reed, dabbling in online journalism now. I had hoped we could talk in private."
Royal envoy, pfft. In this position she's probably a minor noble herself. Now that explains the lack of manners!
"I represent the families Darong, Capp and Thor of..."
"...the principality of Veronaville, check."
"A number of heirlooms and national trasures were discovered abroad, here in Detroit specifically. My employers want discrete confirmation whether the artifacts are genuine and, ultimately, retrieve them."
"You won't believe what happened, Danny! Your clickbait producing sweetheart is going private sleuth!"
Much as Gavin enjoyed the attention he received in his online journalist persona, he was missing detective work. For this reason he was looking forward to working with the envoy, but he also couldn't quite shake the feeling of being manipulated.
It was nothing precise, just a gut feeling...
(Edit: My game is in german, so the family names may not be the correct ones.)
The next morning the envoy's presence in Detroit was in the news, indeed, but no word about the visit's purpose was said.
"Oh my god, Argus!!!"
"Can't you at least steal the butter from the other direction? You know, the one where you wouldn't have to climb and shed hair all over the toast?!"
The envoy had told Gavin to meet her at the library the next day. Until then he should familiarize himself with creating art - the envoy had even left an easel to use for that purpose. Since he had bread to put on the table and couldn't waste time slinging paint on canvas, Gavin made sure to record the process for his followers.
"Look, Jinny, your dad's the new Darren Dreamer now! What should I paint?"
"Princess Cordy ship-wrecked!!! Wida pirates!"
Gavin: "So, what feelings does this evoke in you?"
Daniel: "Oh, my... Um, er... The vulnurability of the, er, soul? It's touching!"
Gavin: "Great!"
Daniel: You used to be a detective and profiler yet can't even draw a phantom potrait?!
That day Daniel found a key in the mail - apparently the reward for the completed painting and apprecciation of Gavin having taken the first steps in understanding the spirit of the art-fancying Darong family.
Daniel placed the key and the letter on his boyfriend's workstation for him to find later.
But truth was, Gavin's painting had also made him want to beat someone up and when one of Daniel's kin felt an emotion, they fully gave themselves over to it.
(I got a "Neighborhood brawl day". The second to last screenshot already spoilers what Daniel is. He's doing this idle a lot.)
That Argus over the butter and toast, Great pic 😍
