I have two sims with this and it has completely wrecked my sims family. Every sim I have had that acquires the loud phase never leaves it. The solution is to encourage to be quiet, etc, but the options to do that are simply not there.I have tried everything I can think of. I have raised emotional control to the max. I have cheated the trait away, saved, exited the game, deleted thumbnail cache, taken sim through loading screens. I have tried to use a cheat to add a different phase, but nothing works. The sims just randomly bunch their fists and use forbidden words all the time.I can live with the loud music on the stereos, but the random and frequent use of use forbidden words has just wrecked the personality of these two sims.Does anyone know of any fix for this? My next move will be to just simply delete these two sims, but I have put hours of gameplay into them.Bug report here from 2017. Then again, speaking as a guy who's been a metalhead since I first heard Metallica's Black Album when I was a freshman in high school (and whose working-class New England upbringing is often reflected in my vocabulary when I'm annoyed), I suppose the Loud trait never truly leaves even in real life, so...

Part of this is that I rarely keep a stereo on the lot unless one is required for the first leg of the music aspiration ("Listen to Music for 2 Hours"), but I think the other part is that the combination of Controlled Emotions and Good Manners (the two character-value reward traits) tamps down the tendency to cuss out random sims like an athlete after a ref makes a terrible call.

If you have MC Command Center:Click on sim/MC Command Center/MC Cheats/Cheat Sim Info/Mood-Buff Control/Remove Buff - select OK then scroll down, find the buff and click on it. It will go away.

I use the no more parenthood phases by MonoChaos mod. That will get rid of parenthood phases.

There is also the proper trait, it might correct the behaviour.

Ah. Proper comes with Snowy Escape - don't have that :/

I am thinking of trying to age them up and then making them townies for a day or two and seeing if that works out.

Just a quick response to this.

In case anyone else is having this problem. Cheating the trait away and then kicking the teen out into the world as unplayed for a couple of days worked.

I didn't want to mod the phases out as I quite like the gameplay, so am pleased this worked.
