If you close out of the holiday in the upper left, it cancels the holiday for everyone. You probably didn’t mean to do that.
The chance cards come from being in school and they don’t count for anything really. That’s not the reason your child would have a bad Love Day. It’s because it was canceled. Even if there was no holiday tradition applicable for the kid, he would have had a good holiday if it hadn’t been canceled.
