I have lived in this country, solely. My pardon for thinking more of the world was alike than they are. Since the world shares the same calendar, it threw me off. I am aware that those down-under have different seasons than those of us in the Northern Hemisphere … Just shows me I need to expand my thinking. Thank you for pointing this out.
Only the southern states in Australia really get a winter, here in sunny Qld we get a week of cool weather if we are lucky, the rest of the time it varies from hot to steamy humid hot. :D
