Yes, I did verify what I'm saying. They changed the ingame boyfriend/girlfriend status to partner to be more inclusive, but I am saying that they are different. Teens and young adults have boyfriends and girlfriends, people who live together and keep house together but are unmarried are partners. It's a different relationship status altogether.

I'm in total agreement with this. All of it.

One sim can be incredibly particular and picky, be the forever bachelor(ette) - and the other might not share this sentiment at all and just wants someone who's nice and affectionate. It can lead to different outcomes and lifestyles. It's far too safe for a pack that aims to be a bit more 'saucy'. 

 well,  with current game, i am "partner" and the next step for my sim is not gf, its propose..

Actually,  I think partner is a step above boyfriend/girlfriend and a step below spouse/wife/husband. A partner is what I would describe a common low "spouse", someone you bought a house with and had children with, but didn't legalize the union.

Totally, absolutely agree. Really tired of the perspective that if something can be viewed in a harmful way, then therefore, it's harmful. So the answer is to just avoid those things altogether? No personal accountability, no room for nuance? We'll all just pretend that the world is so very nice to everyone, all the time and that things like physical or appearance attractions don't exist? (Apparently, neither do husbands and wives or boyfriends and girlfriends. 😑)

Come on, EA. This game lacks common sense and basic maturity. We're not five. 

I dislike the new relationship sub menu very much. 

Yes, I probably saw the same creator say that about the path because I was pleasantly surprise there was a walking trail in both neighborhoods. 

I can't play this game now even if I wanted to. I am waiting to see where things falls, but even then, I have dozens of sims that I have to go in and adjust their likes and dislikes and all their  romantic profiles.  I might be playing a bit before I can give it a whirl. 🤪

Oh wait! I know this is negative thread, but Littlebowbub has cleared this up here . I saw creators say that you cant walk around the pond area because in early access the sign had no interactions, but you actually CAN! At least that is a plus that was unexpected.
