Magical bloodline trait

Does anyone know if the new trait is going to be a "trait" how vampire/alien/mermaid is a trait, or will it be one of the three you can choose? I know this might be a dumb question, as it is probably the first one, but I want to make sure before I age the sim I want to use up and fill all his traits.

  • Will there be a spell so we can get this trait (and others) after being born?

Possibly. Although to me Bloodline sounds like, this is a rewards trait, or a Bonus trait to a Family Aspiration perhaps. I can't imagine this trait taking up a personality trait slot.

I think it should just be left to genetics and heritage two spell casters who have evolved into more powerful beings, have a child, and that child now possess the power of the two most powerful practitioners of magic. So that would mean the child is more powerful than the parent? So if you ever want to stop the Spell caster, it sounds like Only the parent's can defeat their Child together, or a Sibling, could manage to defeat their sibling.

Some magical people are born from human parents if the parents have True Love. Got that one from "Once Upon a Time" season 2.

Emma is the Product of true love yes, but she was only made the savior because Rumple took advantage of Snow and Charming's True Love and wove it into the Dark Curse. Had he not, and the Curse was never cast, Emma's magic wouldn't have existed.

It's possible, very rare, but possible, a child of mortal parents can be born with magic. Deep down I think genetics skipped a couple generations
Like a Great grandparent was a Spell caster, and then somehow, for three generations, none inherited their power or perhaps their magic was dormant and needed to be awakened with mysticism. But after three generations the 4th generation was the one to inherit that power.

    Not really.

If we use Hermione as an example, I'm saying somewhere in her ancestry, has to be a wizard. It wasn't just a fluke of nature, Luck, or Fate. A Human can't just be born with magical DNA. Somewhere in their lineage is Magic. Her parents probably possessed the trait, but failed to notice and lacked the potential to unlock it wield it or it could have just skipped their generation completely.

Often in magical lore, people go on about their life not knowing the power they possess inside them. It takes mysticism, belief in oneself that you can do great things. Having other's believe helps a great deal too, but If you believe in yourself then your power will never disappear.

So it should be possible, a child born to two Magical Parents isn't always guaranteed to possess magic themselves. the power could just not be there, the power could be dormant inside them just waiting to be awakened, they could be a late bloomer, or they could Be an early bloomer and possess their full powers at a younger age.

    Hmm....

So say that your sims have their firstborn right when they became spellcasters, noobs if you will. And then much much later in life they had a sudden surprise addition to the household when they are far more powerful. Will the second child grow up to be more powerful? That could be a fun way to add some family-drama.

Not sure how it works so just imagining things here.

I don't think your current xp in Caster ls counts for anything but the gurus mentioned that every generation of Casters might get bonus xp when they grow up
