Making a single meal or a group meal

Which one raises up the cooking skill faster? My sim keeps putting up the 'making a group meal' wish but actually, my household has only 2 sims in the house at the moment. I don't want to waste food. What do you do when your sims want to make group meals?

  • If you have the Parenthood GP, you could also cook the main meal then after everyone's eaten, pack the leftovers into sack lunches and put them in the fridge -- they'll stay good for I think 8 days as long as they're in the refrigerator and if you have a day where a Sim has to skip breakfast they can grab one and eat it when they get hungry. If you do the Culinary aspiration, food you make never spoils which is really handy.
  • I apologize if this is already mentioned, I didn't read every comment. I've found that giving my lot the 'homey' trait helps to raise their cooking skill faster.

I haven't seen that homey trait. What EP or GP should I buy to get the trait?
