Making Club Hangouts

Do you set, build, or use club hangouts? If so, what size lot do you use, and what kinds of things do you put in them?

I want to build a hangout for a secret society, but my first attempt was a gigantic mansion and I realized that so few Sims actually show up to lots that all that space would be useless. I suppose I could build bedrooms, but for those who've read this far, what would a fashion-based secret society do?
  • Hehe, I won't say what I am thinking; but answer your initial question instead. I plan to use the club feature in any way it can lend itself to my world, and some of the builds I have made already is a concert hall, for my classical musicians, to gather and play their intruments. The lot is a large two floor guilded lounge, with a closed off entrance to the stage, which is the 'club hangout'. I built it on the Sky Gym lot, Uptown, San Myshuno.

Another build is a small temple, on the lot Tangled Flat, Ohan'ali Town, Sulani; a place for the two kahunas (Hoapili household) to skill up, with the spirits floating around. It is only for the club members and closed off with a fence.

I have built a jazz club, with a small shady back room meant as club hangout for 'criminal activity'; yet to found a club for it.

Fashion belongs on a stage or street or even a store, as setting.

I'm picking up what you're putting down
  • I try to use busy lots for club gatherings - and I add lot traits to places as well. Like the Disco in Windenberg is a teen hangout, university student hangout, and vampire nexus just to increase traffic in that area. Whether it's a dance club meeting to have fun or a vampire club showing up to cause chaos, it's a good time.

For a Fashionistas club, I think they'd need a Snob requirement - activities would include Try on Clothes, Be Mean, Drink Bar Drinks, Make Bar Drinks, Dance or whatever. Make sure the club you take them to has easy access to the closets and such. I haven't used the closets in a while so i have no idea what the result of Try on Clothes will be lol
  • I made a hangout for a teen group in Windenberg. (The ones that used to hang out at the pool and break things.) I used an empty lot on the island and made a park with a cabin. The cabin can be closed to everyone but club members. It has darts and foosball, dancing, etc. I made some changes in the club activities and made the club limited to teens. It's been a while since I've played in Windenberg which is why I can't remember the club name.
