Making Sims or Building Houses

I was gifted Snowy Escape by my youngest daughter for Christmas and made a new Sim to play in the new world. He started out Rags to Riches so it took a while before he had enough simoleans to build a house. He finally had earned 5K when I closed the game this morning though, so I'll be going in game very soon and build him a tiny, little place to call home. Thus far he's been living in a little 2x3 roofed shack with only three walls, a cot, sink, candle for light, a pee bush outside and three plants for fresh harvestables to eat.

He might've had more to build with except he needed to buy climbing equipment, a snowboard and skis. Plus, his main source of income has been fishing to get funds to buy Simis and he hasn't had much luck with the Simis. The darn machine keeps stealing his money or trying to kill him when he shakes it! :D I'm having a lot of fun with this pack so far and I've barely scratched the surface. I also remodeled the Onsen Bathhouse a little bit, mostly to fix up the reception area. Cale needed a computer to order that equipment and couldn't afford to buy his own. I changed the color scheme a bit too.

I will eventually build other houses in Mt. Komorebi, but I'm still exploring everything else the pack has to offer at the moment with Cale. :)

I have a few days off as well so I have been wasting the hours away trying to find a layout that I like for my sim self's home. I've made about 2 and a half shells now and I'm making my bf judge them as I go lol

I do a little of everything. Planned to build a small castle during the holidays, but so far I got too busy with other stuff. I had lots of time for gaming due to social restrictions. So, I've been busy summing up my 225th year (which has been ongoing forever!), including a new episode of my As Sims Go By series (machinima about my real sim households and the council). I just married a couple, reorganized a Photographer's studio, and downloaded some more high crust cc jewelry :)

But I also found time for something I wanted to do for years - making a stand-alone Winter Fest video - «Super Power Dad». I'm quite happy with the result, but not sure the Youtube viewing numbers defense the 3-4 days spent on making it, LOL. At least I had fun, and I got to do Christmas things in the game, which I normally don't focus a lot on during game play.

I really do want to build things but gameplay is really distracting me these days haha

I would like to try building with snowy escape. Before the pack was announced, I made a Japanese-inspired garden so I would love to update it or try something new with the pack!
