I expect to see some basic infant items for the basegame infant update:
- a crib
- a change table
- a play mat
- a baby carrier
- some infant clothes/hairs
- birthmarks
- a few interactive baby toys
I also expect to see some changes made to many build/buy items like surfaces and comfort items where babies might interact with them (ie: pulling themselves up to a standing position using a chair or coffee table perhaps, rocking a baby to sleep in a rocking chair, etc). As well as changes made to kids toys, kids furniture, and some decor items too (ie: high chairs, toddler blocks now also working for infants, night lights working for infants, etc).
Also, as a side note:
I really wish they would have changed the names of the life states to something that would've made more sense like: newborn -> baby -> toddler -> child -> teen, etc.
Rather than: baby -> infant -> toddler -> child, etc.
The terms "infant" and "baby" are too interchangeable and I suspect will end up causing a lot of confusion with simmers? (I'm already using the two words interchangeably in my posts).
