Thefirsttemplar, there is a cheat for adding your sim's glasses to their work outfit; I was poking around all the TS4 stuff for this issue, myself, just the other day.

Basically, you just open the cheat console (Ctrl+Shift+c) and type sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas.  This will immediately take your sim into the CAS and they will be in the career outfit. Yeah, it really is just that simple. Thankfully! The cheat info for this was posted by Ninane, back in 2016. I feel like we really should just get the option to modify career outfits in CAS without cheats, in a limited way. Like add accessoires or a hat if we want (or remove it) and change the colour of the work outfit if it has swatches.
