"Marrying a sim in your employ would be innapropriate"

I'm having the same problem. I've had it the past few months. My sims can get engaged, but on their wedding day they couldn't get married. Now I have another couple it's happening with. I think I did have the previous Sims quit their jobs, but it didn't help. Hm??
