I'm having trouble with this as well. I know this is an old thread but I don't know what else to try. I took over Caleb as my main Sim and have spent a lot of time growing him, he now has 42 traits and his only need is a plasma pack now and then. He met an alien and I had her move in so they could get romantic and marry. He proposed, she accepted, but elopement gave me that stupid employee text. Caleb has never had a job nor have I ever owned a store. So how can a stay-at-home dad with no job have an employee???? After failing to resolve this I edited from Manage Worlds (which stripped him of 200k simoleans) and recreated his alien gf in edit. I'm trying to get them both through the Soul Mate aspiration. Same thing happened, successful proposal but not allowed to elope. So I tried having HER elope and it wiped out their entire relationship!!! ?
They're still engaged but now they're just acquaintances. What is going on and how do I fix it?
