Maxis, why Sims still cleaning dishes in BATHROOM sink?

If it's that impossible to have the distance be evaluated and determining code to make Sims wash them to a reasonable destination point, part of the solution would been fixed if BASIN SINKS are flagged off for being used to clean dishes, if not the minimal for a check-up whether any kind is in the room that contains a toilet.

This is helpful for those who are looking, which I appreciate the help. I'm asking Maxis why this isn't solved and we have to rely on mooders for as something fundamental like why AI is so irrational/broken.

Thing is, it apparently was solved... it was in the patch notes, I think 2 patches ago... yet... it's still happening. :/

I've actually noticed that lately with some of the larger patches, some of the fixes listed, aren't actually fixed.
  • I suggest that we, as players have the ability to click the sink and choose if dishes can be washed in them.

    How hard would that be?

I agree that players should not have to depend on modders to fix an game for the Devs and everytime they fix it the Devs just break it again. However, I feel some problems will never get fixed.

Yeah I noticed this when the patch notes said mermaids will now wear the appropriate work attire to work, but when I loaded it up after updating my mermaids still just put on some random outfit to go to work.

For the sink issue: I've heard about it, but I've never had this problem. My Sims always wash the dishes in the kitchen. Could it be because I use the freestanding sinks in the bathrooms and the in counter ones in the kitchen? For anyone having that issue are they washing their dishes in the freestanding sinks? I'm wondering if maybe it's coded so they wash their dishes in the in counter sinks so the Sims pick the one in the bathroom.

My latest house has a counter sink in the kitchen and free standing in the bathroom and they will still walk right past the kitchen sink to use the bathroom. :/
  • I kinda find it funny when they use the bathroom sink although it can be annoying when they walk all around the house to use the bathroom sink
