Mayor whiskers (cat) pet bug (stuck!)?

Ever since I asked my cat to lay down for the night he's been stuck just standing there! I can still pick him up and do stuff with him but he'll go right back to being suck, like he will chase his tail a bit but then just be stuck standing there! I tried the resetsim cheat but it didn't work! Is there another one for pets or should the same one that's used for sims work for pets to?
