Mermaids confirmed for Island Living!!!

YAY MERMAIDS!!! That's it, vampire fan craze is over for me, time to be a mermaid! Can't wait, I've been SUPER excited all day reading any tid bit I could find ^^ :D <3 Can't wait to hear more news! This pack sounds fantastic and I'm very happy and excited finally for something in Sims 4 <3 Life states are my favorite, I do hope they make them quite more interesting than just tail in water. Perhaps singing, water magic, weather/storm summoning... We will see :)

They probably won't be quite that fleshed out, but the nice thing about the vampires already existing is that it's now no longer all that big a deal to steal that UI/code and just slap it onto Mermaids. Hell, they already did so with fame.

Siren songs, weather control, not being forced back into your fin form when wet, not being forced into humanity when you go too long without swimming... there's plenty of stuff Mermaids could "power up", and most would use stuff the game can already do (thralls, influence to, singing, weather change machine, etc).

I'm not saying I expect us to get this, I'm just saying hoping for it isn't as wild as hoping for... like... idk, them just opening up all the worlds or something. At this point giving a character a skill tree to work through is old hat. There's no guarantee mermaids would get one, but also no reason to assume they won't. We'll just have to wait and see.

You might be right. Let's see what they've done. I'm not a supernatural player, but I hope the best for those who are waiting for a new life state for a. Long long time.

I never got into mermaids in TS3. I played them a few times but never stuck with it. However, these mermaids look amazing so far. TS4 art style is perfect for this type of pack. The mermaid’s fin looks so beautiful. I’m excited to see how customizable they’ll be.

From what the Gurus have said in the past, it sounds like hybrids have a stability problem.

They seemed to work just fine in TS2, but I guess they started having issues in TS3. I think I remember even after TS4 was out, the Gurus were still saying there would be issues if they tried to do hybrids.

I wonder if there will only be one premade mermaid npc? I recall Sims 3 having more, I always enjoy interacting with EA premades even if making our own is also nice.
