Mice!

If you downloaded the lot someone might have put the mouse holes in it. I've run into this now and then with downloaded lots. Actually it was the first time I figured it could be done.

Wow, and now I have to hunt for said mouse holes. Will replacing the wall help?

I think you can delete the mouse hole, not completely sure but if all else fails knock down that wall! :D

I've used the one from C&D to help make my builds more rundown. They are kinda annoying though as sim have to react to them when a mouse spawns. Wake up in the middle of the night, stop making food, jump right out of the tub just so they can react. Finding them can be hard since they are low to the ground but if you see a mouse I would look around their as the mouse never goes to far from it's hole.

As for the CL one that one can't be deleted but the object itself can't be saved to the gallery.

Huh, I wonder if that's why my Proper Celebrity reacts with disgust so often. Although that wouldn't explain such behavior when he's not at that particular venue … I hope he hasn't turned into a snob all of a sudden. :open_mouth:

No. You need to look at the lot traits. The mouse came with the "Needs TLC" trait.

Oh, okay, thanks. I just discovered the other #RTF venue also has mice. Face/palm. I'll take a look at the house traits. :)

Update: I checked all four of the venues I downloaded, none of them had the Needs TLC trait, in fact I can't even find that one on the list of traits at all! However, the vermin have spread. Oi!

I love that they made the mouse holes available to us as I added one to my run-down orphanage. Lots of mice spawn there! You should be able to see the hole in the wall near where the mice are scurrying, and if you watch them for a while you will see them return to the hole. I know on my home Lot my sims can set mouse traps if I click on the hole, not sure if you can do that in community Lots. But the mice do return after a while anyway and then they gradually multiply.

You can just go into build mode and delete it.

It's nothing to do with the Lot trait, as EA did not release that trait for our usage so you won't find that anywhere other than the CL Lots EA already added the trait to, unless it has been modded in.

the only mouse holes I know of are the décor ones that came with cats and dogs - mice spawn every now and then and cats can play with them/catch them/ignore them (majority of the time) but they don't tend to affect my sims (but then again it was a basement thing and I didn't really have much down there at the time)

@elanorbreton Thanks for the information. I thought I was going nuts. LOL The stage is virtually a cement deck with a rock facade! I'll have to slowly and carefully examine it in build mode to attempt to find said holes. I'm sitting here wondering why the builder would have placed such an item in a venue meant to be used by those of us with a mod that calls for such a venue. I'm a bit peeved, to say the least.
