Missing TS3

You could just play TS3, lol.

Seconded, come play 3! Still a big community with lots of love for this game that's more than happy to help you figure out running this mess of a game. Honestly sims 3 runs as well as 4 nowadays for me anyway! I *do* miss plenty of stuff from 3 when i play 2 or 4, that's why it's still my main game

I do, but I can't stand the lag- not to mention the game won't play on later devices.

Unless someone found out how to stop that? I love 3 so much, I have every expansion, except Sweet Treats. I bought Lunar Lakes and Hidden Springs, and can get neither one to show up in the menu screen to choose a town. :'(

Wdym won't play on later devices? Try the sims 3 tech help section, I'm sure someone like igazor can figure it out! Mostly you just need to tell the game what graphics card you have and that it's allowed to use 4gb of ram instead of 2. If playing in an ea world, ella charmed's fixes are an absolute must.
For the worlds not showing up check here: documents/electronic arts/sims 3/installed worlds. are they in there? if so, delete and redownload. The game decided I'm not allowed to have any worlds once and deleted them from the selection screen but kept them in that folder. If not, check your launcher and make sure it did in fact download to the game instead of just getting chucked into your launcher.
Other things about lag: nraas is an actual godsend. Error trap and over watch are absolute musts for lag. This is a great video for learning all about their mods and their many many functions. I user register to minimize lag as well just like the video shows. Can also be used to get rid of paparazzi which manage to get stuck in all kinds of weird places.

Now I never had issues like that with paparazzi. My Sims usually just either let them do their thing, or hides in their home depending on their personality.

I also love the occult kids in 3, the ones that act the part. Imagine a parent trying to raise a werewolf.

Did you try any of the fixes @Breazona suggested?

Lady Duchess, a TS3 modder, created the Sims 3 Smooth Patch, which for me personally makes my TS3 play smooth as buttah!

Yes indeed they have! Seqr g it on Youtube there are many great resources and I enjoy a great time with sims3 now on a current system, with all the packs installed and running at once plus a lot of store content and mine is a gaming pc, but kinda barely, built it myself to save money and it's workable for a lot of things but nothing to brag ob or show proudly. I also got sims3 working on an older laptop using those nraas mods and the cache cleaning routine.

So you are in a good era for great Sims 3 gameplay!
