Ailments
Just wondering why sims from a different world keeps getting ailments, even though I checked the box to keep fairies etc in innis world. Does anyone know how to stop this?

Fairies and ailments are two different things, only fairies can be restricted to innis green with the option. Ailments however can occur anywhere. Ailments can be caused by imbalance, fairies or contact with sims with ailments (ailments are said to be contagious). I wish we could just turn ailments off but unfortunately that option doesn't seem to be possible
This is exactly what I was afraid of when I found out about ailments. Hope they make it so you can turn them off in the future.
Out of curiosity, are the ailments not treatable/curable? I know my sims always getting the darn colds and I keep them loaded with medicine purchased from the computer. It is pesky but thanks to their thought bubbles, easily handled without taking a ton of time and such. I haven't bought the fairy pack so it would be nice to know a bit more about these ailments in case I ever decide to. Like how easily are they treatable if they are treatable at all. How rampant are they? I know I would lose it if I kept having to deal with something like that every time I turned around. I'd definitely appreciate you all posting more info about ailments as you get it.
I wish I could answer your question about this. I just know that my Sim who is a Rock Star and was stalked by an Obsessed Fan, whose love turned to hate when my Sim refused his romantic advances. The long and the short of it is, the Obsessed Fan ended up dying and the Rock Star held a funeral for him. Well, more like a Memorial. This was on the Thursday of the week. Come the following Monday, Rock Star broke out into some nasty looking sores all over his face, chest and arms. He sought help over the phone and went to see the Naturopath. After 'treating' him in some fashion (it's a rabbit hole), the Naturopath declared Rock Star cured. His face and skin was clear. Yet, when he held a concert later that evening, he came back looking frightening.

Pretty disgusting, if you ask me. But I'm now wondering if that brown bottle of cure all would help him?
Oh you should try it for sure if you have not. I'm wondering if anything you can brew as an herbalist might help too. I haven't managed to delve into that yet so I am unsure what is available. Brown bottle would be good to start with though for sure. Let us know what happens!
Honestly, on your initial post where you showed this picture of him and I said he looked good, what I saw was some sort of transformation happening. Like something from the fairy pack that was slowly transforming him and maybe he would be part fairy or grow wings. I'm talking about the second picture though, he definitely looks sick in the first one. Looking at his arms in the second one I swear it looks like some sort of plant growth.
I bulk buy the cure pills from the apothecary shop. 20 simoleons a piece so I get about 10 at a time and they cure the ailments right away.
The ailments are happening WAY to quickly and repeatedly. I'm considering disabling the pack as it has already messed me up twice in this save - getting an ailment 3 minutes before they leave for work and robbing them of a most deserved promotion. No time to do anything about it - but as always, these things are released so aggressively so that the feature is shown. Really needs toning down.
I haven't heard anyone mention pills yet so hopefully this will be much needed information for those that need.
What I've read are that ailments are contagious and so spread like any other disease. You can gain ailments just by being in contact with other sims. There's supposedly only a 1 day cooldown on gaining an ailment from environment / emotional balance and a 6 hour cooldown after curing it from contagion? Something weird like that. At any rate, it's totally possible to get two ailments in one day. There appear to be two mods out there to contend with this, one which makes it a 3 day cooldown between all ailments and one which completely shuts it off.
