Mixology Specialist Certificate?

That's odd, but I do have one idea, has anyone in the household died in your game? I don't know if they changed this but in a past Sims game when a sim died their stuff in their personal inventory went to another sim in the same household.

No, no sims have died. And the name on the description of the certificate is the name of the sim whose inventory I found it in.

A career reward?

You got it because you took 11 skill classes (although only mixology classes should count)
You now also have a trait which enables you to join the mixologist career (at level 6)

Must be a glitch that she got the certificate then. I did have her take quite a few skill classes, but only for Photography and Gardening (and she's the only sim that I've had take any skill classes yet, so it couldn't have come from another sim in the household).

I got mine while doing a "sit in on Class" interaction through my phone for a Class in DJ Mixing

It doesn't seem to matter which classes you sit in on. Got mine for Pet Training and Selvadoradan Culture and another for Parenting and Media Production

DU has not had all its bugs corrected yet. My household inventories are still full of degrees and whatnot that can't be deleted.

I hope this glitch gets fixed soon. I assume these “Specialist Certificates” are meant to be given for more skills than just Mixology, after taking several classes for a skill. It would be a pretty cool feature if it worked correctly.
