That’s just it. I might have a few sims that would wear this, but certainly not enough to purchase this kit. We need male kits, but we need general use before niche items.
And that's why it's a kit. Niche items. I rarely play male sims and the one I do hasn't been in CAS for a wardrobe change in a couple of years. ? I'm kinda neutral on this kit but I'm sure it will appeal to some.
But the fact is that people have been requesting a male stuff/kit pack for years, because we are specifically lacking masculine clothing. So the fact they released a men's kit with feminine clothing, something they could ALREADY do and have plenty of, is why people are upset. - I do like skirts on men, but you know what I like even more in TS4 ? Actual content.
It's been months of visual kits and nothing else and when does it end ?
Is this the final form of TS4 ? Do we no longer get new gameplay, concepts ? Bug fixes ?
Did you guys fire all the coders and animators, and only the designers and artists are left at EAxis ?

I want regular men's fashion. But if we had to go for niche and boundary-pushing, I'd love something less... this. I'd like to see them take cues from the gender**** movement. Or just make clothing that's actually subversive by coating it with very masculine traits. Like for the skirts, add some spikes and mudflap girls. Really rugged, punk-ish jackets with a bra and no shirt. Fishnet tops. Thigh-high boots. Go freaking nuts. It'd be ridiculous and still be super niche, but at least it'd be fun and actually defy expectations a bit.
Oh I would have loved the heck out of that
and oversized long band t-shirts would fit the nongendered agenda too
... its not too late to recolor that tshirt+skirt thingy into one *winkwink*- Chicklet45368Rising TravelerWOW! Was super ridiculously excited when I read the title of this post!
Then .........
I
SAW
THE
PICS
Yeah .....
Sooooo not what I was expecting!
To quote what I put in the "Man Lyfestyle" feedback thread:My played male sims are rough! They're tough! They are crude and rude, they have callused hands from working doing "manly things". They have dirt under their nails, they have hair up their nose, they generally have messy hair with no gel or styling products. They are not millennial men. They clean up nicely and smell amazing when they do, but 95% of the time they are just natural and earthy smelling, and "normal".
So yeah ....... EXTREME HARD PASS for me!
But, I'm happy for those that needed more feminine clothing for their male framed sims. - Hmmm, wonder what's up. :D
https://i.imgur.com/4HMCavL.png - alanmichael1Seasoned HotshotBravo for the Kit, we really need some expetimental male fashion after 7 years of grandfatherish jackets and torn 3/4 jeans. Makes me forget the highly disappointing laundry list.
- See I was about to complain about how I still need more men's jeans and I'm to lazy for CC, but then sweaters.
Ea has appeased my inner sweater gremlin for now. They can live.
Yes my sims wear normal 0peo0ple clothes. Yes it's not just sweaters. I'm definitely not lying. - I think people were expecting more: Nike, Champion, Puma, Uniqlo, and Under Armour type clothing and less: the stuff Stefan Cooke brought.
- Karamazov123Seasoned HotshotI feel like this pack wasn't aimed at men, but at teenage girls. Teenage girls being the game's target audience. Not that this can't appeal to men, or that you're less of a man for liking this kit/not dressing traditionally. But it's the same stuff we usually get with the rest of the game: "comfy" sweaters, """trendy""" looks, and a concept with a millennial spin on it. The looks so far are super safe and similar to what we already get. The clothing itself is largely gender-neutral clothing, not something that feels specifically tailored for men. And there's way more to modern menswear than this style. I get that they're catering to a niche fashion choice for a niche audience. I get it. But still, they could have done better.
As people said before, it doesn't actually feel like something that defies boundaries, because we already have similar clothes and can reject gender norms. They're not pushing any boundaries or doing something new and expressive with this opportunity.
It's a niche pack aimed at a niche audience, so it'll make some people happy. Good for them, genuinely happy for them, yadda yadda yadda. But you know what appeals to all men? It starts with a D, ends with an S, and isn't a body part. That's right: Dragons. For future reference, CAS designers: slap some dragons on your men's fashion to make them more manly. - ADashofAsh90Seasoned VanguardUnfortunately I think this is the first kit I have no desire to get, and probably won't. Not against men's fashion or trying new styles, I just know I won't use any of these at all. Sad, tbh.
