- ShopGirl984 years agoNew SpectatorSome bits taken from the Vogue interview with the designers. It may just be that's it's first thing in the morning and I haven't had coffee yet so I'm cranky, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way a little.
Stefan Cooke Enters the Metaverse With a Collection for The Sims
the partnership isn’t just a marketing exercise
But it seems like a marketing exercise, especially when we are constantly being referred to as "customers".“What I’m excited about is that it will really be a different customer,” says Cooke
“Seeing a customer engaging with the brand and wearing the brand who maybe couldn’t afford it before—I think that’s really exciting,” says Burt.
“Customers are everywhere; you just have to make sure that you’re appealing to as many different ones as possible.”
Money is everywhere; you just have to make sure that you're appealing to as much different money as possible.
I'm not silly, I know this is how business works, but they could have been a bit more subtle. - WvMISKAvW4 years agoRising NoviceNo, No and NO.
A man in a Kilt is One Thing, but in a Feminine skirt? No Thanks.
And while we're talking, since those who wish their men in skirts can already do so in CAS, why did we need an entire Kit of Feminine/Feminized Clothing for MEN when we've been asking for Actual/Stereotypical/Masculine/Male Clothing?
As for this kit? I'll definitely Pass - even if it were FREE, I would NOT download this Kit.
Just my .02. ;) - OMG... I have no words, not appropriate on this forum anyway.
I've seen people saying, yet again, it should have been in a free update and I am actually happy it is not because those patches are mandatory, you have to install them at some point and this stuff will be in your game weather you want it or not. Thankfully one can choose not to buy this kit and won't be forced to look at male townies dressed like this.
I actually play mainly with male sims and was really happy when I saw the title of the kit. But it turned out to be a huge disappointment. - GrumpyGlowfish4 years agoSeasoned NewcomerThat was... an interesting revelation for me. I went from "I wish they'd go back to making things other than kits" to "Men's fashion? I might just buy my first kit after all" to "Forget it, just another misunderstanding between players and developers" within two minutes or so.
Calling this a "skirts for men" kit might be pushing it, since only two of the outfits I've seen so far look distinctly feminine to me, but then again, I don't expect a little kit to come with a truckload of new assets, so two women's outfits in a men's fashion pack might already be too many. I've never seen (what I believed to be) a man walk around in such clothes in real life, and I don't intend on putting them on my male sims, which is why I will probably pass on this one, too.
Too bad, because I actually like the full-body denim outfit. - PaNDiee4 years agoSeasoned Newcomer

Yeah same here.. Maybe im too old to like this.. Or maybe I dont have a open mind.. Idk.. If I had this kit I would use it on females because I think the clothes are kinda cute - Huh, interesting choice for the final pack of the year. On the whole, I'd rather have dragons.

I am a big fan of skirts for men. In Czechia there is a brand called Kiltorys - freedom for a sack. I love that playful name (it's not a typo) and the slogan too.
Playful, yes, but I’m not sure how much freedom a sack gets in a mini skirt.
Perhaps a little too much freedom? ? - Yeah no, I prefer normal-looking clothing, rather than this "runway chic". Honestly, I don't know many irl men who'd wear these outfits, let alone a skirt outside of cultural practices.
- SEREFRAS4 years agoSeasoned VeteranSorry but I'm old school. Masculine used to mean full male, manly, mucho, etc, etc, etc.
It never meant "Hey Dude, don't you look so pretty & girly".
However, my Female sims will so look very beautiful in the pretty girly outfits. - Beardedgeek724 years agoNew SpectatorWait a minute, Metaverse? Is this a Facebook cooperation to? Because in that case it is Hard No x 10 on top of the already Hard No from me.
Edit: also... since any gender can wear any clothes in CAS already... why did the devs go out of their way to make the opposite of what people wanted when they asked for more clothes for men?
