Hey all,
I've just removed some posts here and in the interest of transparency I'm posting here to clear some things up:
"I don't like men in skirts" = Post away, this is fine feedback.
"I don't like men in skirts because that's wrong" = Nope, not gonna fly here my guy.
"This is the X agenda!" = Just don't. If you use the "agenda" buzzword here I'm most likely going to end up removing your post.
That being said, I want to thank all of you in this thread for some truly fantastic feedback that I will share with the game team on the lack of more traditional male fashion choices and the desire many of you have to see them implemented.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Direct Feedback, Sir: I wrote nothing about what you have mentioned and my post got deleted. Fine, okay, let it be dead, but I wrote over 1,5 hours on that post fyi and tried to choose my word carefully as far as it even possible as non native speaker. It's possible that I miss the tone, okay. Just saying. Thank you for transfering the desire for more traditional clothes to game team, but I don't have any hope, not now after this clean up, this is their game, they decide. And it looks that they don't want this, the wish is well-known for years now. - I was thinking about getting it because men get so few things in game but now
I don't want to because I don't want to see bob pancakes walking down the street in a dress all the time in my game
if I pick out the dress thats fine otherwise no thank you also the dresses are ugly and it another real world brand. - EA_Cade4 years agoCommunity Manager

I really appreciate your transparency and helpfulness in explaining what would cause a specific post to be deleted! ? - amapola764 years agoSeasoned AceI have no issue with men in skirts (and yes, I adore David Rose, and I would be delighted to see a sim version of him). However, it seems to me that if you were going to make a menswear kit that pushed boundaries and transcended gender, then you might as well go all out and take inspiration from Billy Porter and Harry Styles... you know, make something truly couture and fabulous and glamorous and unique and stunning. Or you could go the traditional masculine attire route, which is something a lot of people have asked for. Personally, I'd be all good either way. Neither of those types of kits would be at the top of my most-wanted list, but both would be on my "buy eventually" list.
But instead, we're getting this kit... in a moment when I think most of us already have CAS kit fatigue anyway... and it's just sort of somewhere in the middle. Looking at the pics in the blog, I find the specific items pretty boring, bland, and unattractive, and I don't think I'd use most of them for my sims of any gender identity or orientation. I don't really need more sweaters or ugly pants for any of my sims.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. I can see other people in this thread do like the items, and I hope people will enjoy it. I just don't think it's for me. But maybe I will change my mind when we see the full item list. - The clothes look pretty meh to me. However, it's nice to see some focus on masculine sims.
I'm just so sick of Kits :( :s - EA_Cade4 years agoCommunity Manager

That's totally fine. It's absolutely no issue to say "This just isn't for me". Personally I think this kit does a fantastic job of fulfilling a niche playstyle/want and that's why it wasn't a base game update because not everyone wants to see men in skirts in their games.
Take Skyrim for example. Am I going to play a stealth archer every freaking time? Absolutely. Do I want that to be the only option? Absolutely not.
And you know what else Skyrim has? Dragons. "bixters;c-18010123" wrote:

Except this kit isn't aimed at "masculine"sims at all. It's a slap in the face and clearly shows how far detached the sims team are"EA_Cade;c-18010124" wrote:

You know what else Skyrim is? Set in a fantasy middle age where the skirts are armor
