- MidnightAura86New SpectatorI have been known to try mods. My game is currently vanilla as I haven’t kept up to date with the latest updates and whilst the game is in progress it’s a pain to keep up with. When the sims 4 completes I think mccc will be essential. I wonder how many would play without mods?Going by the figures, not many. Says a lot about the game.

- I go back and forth on whether or not I want to use mods, but I think overall I enjoy playing vanilla more. I like that I can share any of my lots and sims to the gallery and make them available for anyone. I also like the challenge of having to work with what’s available - it makes me feel more creative. I find that when I have a bunch of cc, I’ll only use the cc and neglect the paid for content.
Also, I truly struggle to find cc that is truly maxis match. Even the best items don’t seem to fit in just right, and that bothers me.
That being said, I have a huge amount of respect for the modding community, what they do is awesome and I think that their creativity is stellar. I just like to keep it simple - I feel like there needs to be an option for, "No mods--I am absolutely paranoid about destroying my game when I try to install them." ^_^;;
- Neither. I don't like relying on mods that can break after each patch... but I definitely don't love the game the way it is either.
- SheriSimSeasoned HotshotI don’t use mods because I am not real computer literate. And don’t know how to put them in and take them out ( same with custom content). And I just don’t really want to learn at my age. Besides right now when there is a bug, I don’t Have to worry that it might be a mod.
- simsimsereNew AdventurerI'm not against mods, just too lazy to update and like to play the game vanilla :p
- logionXSeasoned HotshotPretty much 80% of all my mods are mods that I have to fix bugs or make the game more enjoyable to play. Thank god for mc tuner for example where I can disable autonomous things like sim practicing singing in the middle of a conversation.

That's the funny part. I'm pretty computer literate. And I worry about doing it wrong anyways.
You do make a good point about knowing that bugs are never caused by mods. Though a lot of them fix bugs as well, so I suppose it goes both ways.- I’ve played with them since sims 2. It helps make the game feel limitless to me. I hate restrictions.I have some I haven’t even used yet but I just like knowing I have the option.
