- Unfortunately, there's not an option for my choice. I don't like game the way it is, but I don't trust mods enough to give them access to completely break a game after patches and/or introduce new problems. I don't want to keep up with latest mod updates. That's just extra work for a game that's already been a massive disappointment to me. I don't want a side job working for the upkeep of this game. Also, I shouldn't have to rely on a third party to make a premium game fun to play.
- I just recently started playing S4 again. I quit right after the MFP pack was released. The first thing I did after deciding to play again was to add MCCC. Before I quit, I didn't use any mods or cc. Now I have MCCC and a bunch of others. I was originally going to wait until the game was over before I added mods. But when I saw that there will be at least 3 more years of S4...I didn't want to wait that long to play again because I know what it's like without mods and it can't hold my attention for very long. After adding about a dozen or so mods the game is now much less annoying and much more playable.
- Winifred_WillowNew SpectatorI prefer playing the game with mods. I can play the game without mods but I feel the game sorely lacks much with out them. MCC is an absolute must as well as default replacements of skin and eyes. Terrain texture replacements are pretty important to me too.
- I see MCCC referenced a lot. What exactly does it do? I know it adds more control, but I was curious about the specifics.
- I'm a very recent mod user! I used to think it was too complicated to bother with but then I took 3 seconds to read about it and I was like oh.... it's just that simple to download lol. I really appreciate mods that add traits and careers etc. because the sims really lacks flavor when it comes to creating multidimensional characters.
- The only mod I use is MCCC. The game is completely unplayable for me without it.

There seems to be a bit of a misconception around here that mods take ages to be updated. The fact is, most of the major ones like MCCC are updated within 24 hours of a patch. Sometimes even before a patch is released. And this is only for major patches. Many times no update to the mod is needed.
And CC, such as hair and clothing, doesn’t need to be updated at all. I’ve got CC from 2014 in my folder that works fine.
I definitely think it's a good thing that people who know they are too lazy or impatient to maintain a modded game don't even bother with it. IMO there's way too many people who mod their games neglectfully and inevitably run into issues, come on the forums or AHQ to complain or ask for help and to ultimately just be told that they need to test/update their mods.
Absolutely agree."taydev;c-16927017" wrote:
mods vastly improve the gameplay and i can't do without them. ts4 is the only game i've ever played with mods and cc.
You must not play any Bethesda games hehe. The community-made unofficial patch mods for their games are essential, sadly."WildIrishBanshee;c-16926915" wrote:

It would be simpler to ask what it doesn't do. MCCC handles just about everything in my opinion. It takes care of stupid autonomous actions, adds user controlled story progression, takes care of dumb townie outfits...there is an option for most in-game needs. Take a read through all the documentation when you have time: https://deaderpool-mccc.com/#/doc/overview. I'm still learning what all this thing can do! lol
If MCCC has a setting to keep my non- played families out of turbans it is going in my game today!- I'm not sure what Mods are or how to get them.
They seem popular but I do not want to mess my game up with them.
Do you get glitches with them?
