Moms In Same Household, Getting Confused?

Currently, I have two couples living under the same roof. A brother and sister and their respective spouses. The brother married before his sister and that couple had a baby. Then the sister wed and now that couple has a set of twins. What I'm finding interesting, and something I haven't noticed before, is that oftentimes the auntie is the one coming to the needs of the baby that isn't hers. Just now the mother of the twins went upstairs to change a dirty diaper. Turns out one of her twins also had a dirty diaper, but no, she's taking care of her brother's baby. Her sister-in-law was nearby, too. I caught her loping out of the room with a rather happy gait in her step as if the Calvary had just arrived. What is up with that? LOL

Have any of you had this happen? If not, please share what random acts of silliness they have performed. :)

  • I've currently got a couple, their YA daughter and their teenage son. The parents just had triplets and the daughter had her daughter, and I keep seeing that the daughter will try to look after the triplets when her own daughter is crying! :D Everyone also seems to constantly check the children, so I'm left trying to make sure the Sims themselves are fed and rested and making it to work on time :) It's basically a free-for-all about who's child is who's :D

It's crazy-insane. I hear you. I finally had the two brothers move out with the one's wife, and the other's girlfriend to the same lot. That way, they only have the one baby to worry over. I will have to take up rotation play to help keep up with the families. But, that's tricky when you have a celebrity. (He could lose points if I'm not diligent.) I may just save the sister's family in case things go wrong and not worry too much about rotating. For instance, I just popped into the eldest brother's home to age up his infant, since the next one is due to age up on the next day. The twins will be eligible to age up shortly thereafter. Yeah. Boom, boom, and boom-boom. The first mom in the group is one of triplets. The second mom, also a triplet but the girlfriend is her identical twin. Yeah, that can happen with multiples. So, the brothers have all dated the three sisters and two have married. The third brother is waiting until he starts earning money. He was a Med Student but just recently got promoted to Junior Resident (yes, I use a mod). He's now making a meager salary, but his girlfriend (who happens to be materialistic) is also working. Pretty soon, they will tie the knot and play catch-up with his two older brothers, and younger sister.

The first Mom became a Mom during the celebrity's wedding. She got to the point where she had to go to the hospital. She returned shortly thereafter and danced. It almost happened that the celebrity's wife almost went into labor during the wedding of the parents of the twins. Luckily, I recalled that MCCC has a nice little pause pregnancy command. I used it.

It sounds like absolutely madness  Good for you keeping up with it all :) I just aged up the triplets so now I have 3 children

Unfortunately, this house is only supposed to have 4 bedrooms, so I have the son in the roof, the toddlers took over his old room, there's one bedroom that nobody touches (a second son was in there, but he is no longer corporeal), and the children are in the lower basement two floors below ground  I have space to make a second bedroom in the roof, so I may have to invest in that
  • You might as well have triplets and they need all the help they can get!

I think you’ll find that the game will give those Parenthood chance cards to any adult in the house, so their parenting will overlap even more in the future as the kids enter school. I always thought it was weird that an older sibling would get them for their younger sibling once they aged up to YA.
  • The Charm family still live together in my game. Gemma is a single mom and Darrell married his girlfriend and they have two. I constantly find Gemma taking care of her niece and nephew while the other female takes care of her daughter (who was fathered by a vampire and is a vampire oddly enough).
  • also sometimes brothers and sisters tend to babies as well instead of the parents. or any guest who comes over might. i had 2 roomates, a husband, a child, and a baby, and the parents friends also took care of the children instead of theit own child. its weird how sim logic is.
  • My Fontenot family is the same! Auntie Vivienne suddenly had a higher relationship with her baby nephew than his own parents!
